Rick Rowland
About Rick:
“Real estate is about people first, then property. With that guiding principle, I aim to make a strong connection with each person and family I work with to truly understand their needs and how they translate into the best real estate decision for them.
Originally from Philadelphia, my career took root in commercial real estate which took me to Washington, DC, San Francisco, Denver, and Chicago. My first experience began with a real estate investment trust (REIT), with subsequent background in appraisal, investment, financing, development and brokerage – essentially all the real estate disciplines. My career was rolling, but after a “gut-check” on what we valued in life, my wife Jenny and I focused on where we and our family would be happiest and healthiest. So we found Durango, and moved here in 2003 with a U-Haul, a dog, and an idea that we could make the life we wanted. And we have.
Today, I bring the education, experience, and work ethic of my prior career, plus the inspiration of a “life-found” in the Colorado Rockies. To sum up my professional philosophy, it’s the love of what I do, my relationships, and where I am that translate into what I offer my customers. To this end, I strive to provide the best experience, education, technical/analytical skills, and negotiation acumen in the Durango marketplace to further my customers’ interests. I love real estate and I want that to show through my work and my relationships. I live, work, raise my family, and invest in real estate in Durango.
